A cause such as this is easily ignored because, sanely, most of us wouldn’t consider disposing of an infant in a places such as a dumpster, or gas station bathroom. Yet, in 2014, this does happen, And it happens with alarming regularity. Throughout the efforts of the Safe Haven alliances, such as Save Abandoned Babies in Illinois, over 80 lives have been saved though legal, anonymous relinquishment. SAB is an all-volunteer group (registered Illinois) where no one, not even the board members get paid one cent. There isn’t a single reason any infant needs to die alone and abandoned. None.

Please help us by spreading the word about Illinois’ Safe Haven laws.

Save Abandoned Babies is an amazing cause. They didn’t stop at getting the Abandoned Newborn Infant Protection Act passed, they have continued to promote the cause and help save abandoned infants.

As Jo above said, Save Abandoned Babies didn’t just initiate the passage of the State’s first safe-haven law. It passed legislation year after year, often if not always, without a nay vote. Being non-political, non-partisan, and with no agenda other than saving the most helpless in our state.
